Creating a web site is an involved and important process. I firmly believe in working closely with the client throughout the entire process of building a web site. The site must be what the client wants it to be, not what I want it to be. My clients know their business and competition much better than I. By working together we will both achieve our common goal of creating a well formatted, properly coded, affordable, successful web site.
Site Design
During our meetings we will decide what the web site will look like, the content needed to create it, and how it will be presented to the visitor. Then I will begin to write the code for the style sheets that control the presentation part of the web site and the pages to contain the materials to be displayed. After the first approval of the site's design, I will then begin to add the content to create the pages and perform initial on my local server and my live server. After the second approval I will create the Meta Data and keywords to begin the SEO process. When the web site is completed I will upload the files and perform the final testing. There are many ecommerce programs available to use. I will help you choose one that will integrate seamlessly into your web site. When this is accomplished I will program the software to create a fully operational online store for your business. While working together building your online business you will learn how to operate and maintain the store.Set up of a secure server with certificates needed to take online payments using your existing merchant account. If you do not have or want a merchant account a third party online payment can be used to process payments.
Web Site Hosting
Assistance in obtaining your Domain Name(s). I can do this for you however I believe it is best if you or your representative does this. I will walk you through the process which can be done in a matter of minutes online.I will identify what type of hosting plan required for your web site and show you how to find a reliable hosting service suitable for your web site.
Upload all the files necessary for a fully operational site. Build the directory structure on the server. Perform the final testing of the web site and show you how to change the DNS server information with your domain name registrar to point the the domain name servers (dns) for your hosting service.
Set up of Email addresses and autoresponders as needed for your web site.
Configuration of the hosting account activating any processes or programs needed for your web site to function properly.
SEO Work
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of matching the Meta Data of a web page to it's content. This is to achieve a higher volume of quality traffic to a web site. Each web page is different and therefore requires it's own treatment. Every search engine uses different processes to rank pages in their databases by using the data retrieved by the spiders or robots which crawl the web site pages. Poorly done SEO can result in a site being listed so low in the search returns they may never be seen. No One can guarantee top rankings in a search return, it is impossible to achieve.A web site may have content solely for the customers' or clients' viewing password protected to keep the general public from accessing. Password protection does not prevent the spiders from reading the pages and sending the data back to be indexed by the search engine. The programs that crawl a web site must be instructed with Meta Data and files created just for the spiders which areas are allowed and which are not.
I will create the files and data necessary to accomplish this. SEO is not a one time process, it is usually done on a monthly basis or if there is a sudden drop in traffic. The fees for this will vary depending on how much work is needed.
Announcement
After a web site is complete I will submit the information to each of the major search engines. This only needs to be done once. If there has been a major change in the web site it is best to ask the search engines to revisit the site rather than wait until the next time the spiders visit. I will again visit the search engines and ask them to send the spiders as soon as possible. This is usually done within 10 days of the request.Maintenance
I will take care of the updates and site maintenance on an as needed basis. The fees for this will vary according to how much time is spent on the process. This will include but not be limited to:- Add new or edit existing content to your web site pages.
- Add new pages to your web site.
- Add or change Email addresses.
- Repair the site if it is attacked by a hacker.

You can learn how to do the routine maintenance of your site. You can avoid unnecessary extra charges for updates to your site.- Edit or add new content to the web site.
- Set up your email client to check your email.
- Add, delete, or change email addresses and passwords.
- Read the information generated from the server logs.
- Check your web site ranking in the search engines.
