The process of creating a web site requires good communication. I firmly believe in working closely with the client throughout the entire process of creating their web site. The site must become what the client needs it to be; a fully functional site that drives traffic to their business. My clients know their business and competition, together we will create a successful web site.

Site Design

The initial meeting which is known as the Discovery process will begin to define what the web site will look like, the content needed to create it, and how it will be presented to the visitor. Then I will then create a draft of the site design template.

Production

After the first approval of the site's design, I will then begin to add the content to the pages and perform initial testing using my local server and network.

Testing

Then the site will be uploaded to my web server in a private secure location for the client to review. Changes are then made to polish the pages and make ready for publilc viewing. After the second approval I will create the Meta Data and keywords to begin the SEO process. When the web site is completed I will upload the files to the client's web server and perform the final testing. When the final testing is completed a change is made to the DNS information with the domain name registrar and the web site then becomes live for public viewing after the changes migrate globally.

Hosting

Assistance in obtaining your Domain Name(s). I can do this for you however I believe it is best if you or your representative does this. I will walk you through the process which can be done in a matter of minutes online.
I will identify what type of hosting plan required for your web site and show you how to find a reliable hosting service suitable for your web site and assist you in aquiring a hosting plan for your site.
Then begin with configuration of the hosting account, activating any processes or programs needed for your web site to function properly. Create Email addresses and autoresponders as required, upload all the files necessary, and build the directory structure on the server. When the set up process is complete the final testing of the web site will be done and change the DNS server information with your domain name registrar to make the site available to the world.

Maintenance

I will take care of the updates and site maintenance on an as needed basis. The fees for this will vary according to how much time is spent on the process. This will include but not be limited to:

• Add new or edit existing content to your web site pages.
• Add new pages to your web site.
• Add or change Email addresses.
• Repair the site if it is attacked by a hacker.

Announcement

After a web site is complete I will submit the information to each of the major search engines. This only needs to be done once. If there has been a major change in the web site it is best to ask the search engines to revisit the site rather than wait until the next time the spiders visit. I will again visit the search engines and ask them to send the spiders as soon as possible. This is usually done within 10 days of the request.

SEO Work

Search Engine Optimization is the process of matching the Meta Data of a web page to it's content. This is to achieve a higher ranking in the search returns resulting in a higher volume of quality traffic to a web site. The description, keywords and page title each play their own role in this process. The description must be relevant to the title and content of the page and contain some of the keywords used. The keywords must have a certain density within the page content and be relevant to the material presented.
The number and quality of links to the page from other sites also play a role in ranking. The links should be from other sites similiar and relevant to the material presented. Each web page is different and therefore requires it's own treatment. Every search engine uses different processes to rank pages in their databases by using the data retrieved by the spiders or robots which crawl the web site pages. Poorly done SEO can result in a site being listed so low in the search returns they may never be seen. although not impossible to achieve; No One can guarantee top rankings in a search return. SEO is an ongoing process to maintain positioning with the search engines.
A web site may have content solely for the customers' or clients' viewing password protected to keep the general public from accessing. Password protection does not prevent the spiders from reading the pages and sending the data back to be indexed by the search engine. The programs that crawl a web site must be instructed with Meta Data and files created just for the spiders which areas are allowed to be indexed.
I will create the files and data necessary to accomplish this. SEO is not a one time process, it is usually done on a monthly basis or if there is a sudden drop in traffic. The fees for this will vary depending on how much work is needed.
